SCKFA Presents Drivers Training @ National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park

****Drivers Training Offering****

**Registration is NOW OPEN**

On Friday and Saturday, April 2nd, & 3rd 2021, the South Central Kentucky Firefighters Association will be hosting a Drivers Training at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park, lead by State Fire Rescue Training Area 4. We will be covering Traffic Laws, Distracted Driving, Vehicle Behavior Dynamics, and more. The Kentucky Fire Commission's new Drivers Simulators will be onsite and we will have a coned course for driving apparatus on the East Paddock of the Motorsports Park. We will be having Keynote Speaker, Andy Pilgrim, of the Traffic Safety Education Foundation, discussing Distracted Driving.

Due to the current COVID-19 guidelines, this offering will be limited to 60 students and social distancing guidelines will be enforced. All participants will be required to meet check-in criteria both Friday and Saturday. SFRT 4 will have an apparatus onsite for driving the course. We welcome any Department that would like to bring their apparatus. Students will be required to remain in rented East Paddock & designated areas of the Motorsports Park.

Please include your Name, Phone #, Firefighter #, DOB, Fire Department, and preferred form of payment. This training offer will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cost of the class will be $50 per student and can be paid by mailing a Department Check to P.O. Box 323 Franklin, Kentucky, 42135, or by debit/credit card. March 15th will be the deadline to pay by check. March 31st is the deadline to register and pay with a debit/credit card. Once payment is received, you will receive a confirmation email and your registration will be complete. We would like to encourage you to register early as this offering is going to fill up fast.

Grain Rescue Class

Coming  2021

SCKFA and SFRT will be co-sponsoring a Grain Rescue class.  The tentative location is Simpson County KY.  More details to come when they are available.
